There's an interesting similarity between Cyril & Methodius and St. Patrick, who, as we all know, isn't responsible for green beer but rather for inventing the lower case alphabet. His mission, as with Cyril & Methodius, was to convert the pagans, and their methods were similar.
There's a reason Gutenberg referred to movable type as "my little lead soldiers."
